I got back to London after over two weeks away and a real suckfest of a return journey on Wednesday. I spent a wonderful two weeks back home in Honolulu for my 25th high school reunion. The re-entry to real life has been harsh. I think it is to do with an 11 hour jetlag. Thankfully I am almost recovered from that. And thankfully we bought a bottle of melatonin, too.
There are so many things that I want to write about – our day at MA’O Farms. A cooking lesson with Macrobiotic Hawai’i. Doing the Popo’ia swim and placing in my age group.
But today… Today I am just going to leave it at photos.
You can take the girl out of Hawai’i, but you can’t take Hawai’i out of the girl…
I miss Hawai’i already. The Brothers Cazimero song “Home in the Islands” has a line which says:
“When we are away a sunny day is not quite the same as the ocean blue”
This is so true… I had a truly magical two weeks at home in the islands. I won’t leave it so long between visits next time – I promise…
